just another day

this afternoon i went for lunch with a friend who just changed jobs. she happened to be working in the town area, so i decided to bring her out for lunch cuz i was in the area. she wanted to eat something nice, so we went to the marriot to have their lunch buffet. they had oysters, lamb chops, roast beef, sushi, etc etc...the food wasn't great though, but the company was excellent. =)

after lunch, i had this company function at the shangri la hotel...some big fuck came down, said a few big words, everyone clapped politely, corporate video starts, corporate video ends, pyrotechnics go "bang, bang!", everyone wakes up, etc etc. anyway, it was damn boring to say the least...after the ceremonial crap, we escorted our guests to the food...which was the same damn spread that i had for lunch...oysters, lamb chops, roast beef, sushi, etc etc...more or less (but this time, they had wine. =) ). so i didn't eat anything...imagine what more than 6 oysters can do to you in one day.

after about 3 glasses of some caberbet savignon, 6pm came, so jaime and i decided that it was time to do our disappearing act that we have practised so often in recent days. our usual getaway hideout would normally be somewhere where alcohol was served. so anyway, we decided to drop by this place along mohd sultan road, where they serve $3.50 bottles of beer.

after that, it was pretty uneventful already...i went for another colleague's wedding dinner at fort canning and jaime went for another drinking session at balaclava. just another day in the life of skyhsu.
