national day @ tampines
*i finally read through my swiss application thingy today. i think i'm going to defer enrollment...not completely confirmed yet though cuz still need to speak with my sponsors...*
i was pretty bored at home, so i went out with blinkymummy again for some national day celebration @ TAMPINES (of all places). we decided to eat at this nice place along 6th avenue first...some sandwiches and stuff...

after which, we headed towards tampines for the show...

i actually was thinking of a small gathering of people (maybe 100 max)...but guess what...it was a gathering of heartlanders (approx. 100,000 people)

we managed to get a seat somewhere inside the big cauldron of people (after sneaking in past the slack "security guards"...where we saw some pretty patriotic people...

actually the real reason why we went ALL THE WAY TO TAMPINES, was to watch a 1 minute demostration of wushu by ricky soh...i mean, vincent ng (blinkymummy's crazy about him...or maybe just crazy...muahaha)...

we decided from the start that we would leave right after his 1-minute performance, so we left. as we were walking back to the carpark, we noticed a lot of people still loitering around outside the area...and being the suspicious person that i am (after the disaster the previous night), i decided to ask around if there was anything happening...apparently there was going to be another fireworks display!!! well done.
this time we managed to catch the start of the show...

finally. some closure...or so i thought. as we were walking back to the carpark, we heard some more bang bang boom boom in the background...louder ones than the ones we saw...which meant bigger fireworks...but it didn't matter...i was sick of being a loser.
and there's always time for beer at wala's.
