thursday

after work, i went to meet betty...we had a nice dinner at cafe de amigo...this french place in specialist shopping centre. it's been more than 2 years since we last met, so it was nice catching up on all the things that have been happening in our lives.

betty and i were pretty good friends back in secondary school...i remember there was this period of time when we would call each other late at night, just to talk about stuff...i remember sneaking downstairs in the middle of the night, after my parents went to sleep, using a cloth to cover the phone (so that the dial tones won't be so loud), and speaking in soft hushed whispers. one night, we actually talked for 6 hours straight!!! i had a list of questions to ask that i actually wrote down on a piece of paper before i called her...stuff like "who do you think are the 5 most handsomest guys in the class? please rank them..." hahahahaha. our ears almost fell off the next morning...which is why i think she agreed to watch "4 weddings and a funeral" with me the next day...cuz she was so sleepy already, and couldn't hear what i was saying....so she was just like "ok, yeah, ok, yeah"...the things kids do. i wonder if people still do that nowadays...maybe not...especially with this thing called a "blog".

but i still prefer human contact...in all senses. =)
