cambodia awaits
thanks for the well wishes from all you people who have emailed me...yes, i'm leaving tomorrow...and i just can't wait.
i'm still deciding whether to bring my laptop to cambodia...i couldn't exactly find a backup memory card, so my next option was to bring my laptop, just in case i run out of memory...and guess that? the hotel that we're staying at has...drum roll please...INTERNET!!! haha. but then i'll have to see how much the internet rates are before i actually promise you all a daily report on my blog...
anyway, speaking of hotels, jo booked this room for us (obviously with twin beds instead of the one queen) for our stay in phnom penh:
bougainvillier hotel room
at US$49 per night, i'd say that it's a steal. well done jo. and to think that i'll be there tomorrow night...bliss. =)
the plans aren't really concrete yet as to where we're staying in siem reap, but i hope that we get a nice place too...accommodation is one thing that i wouldn't mind paying a bit more for...especially if you think about the doctor fees that you'd have to pay for the head lice or bed bug bites...or the loss of your luggage / belongings...it doesn't need to be top class or 5 star resort...but i'd rather play it safe, thank you very much.
all my bags are packed, i'm ready to go...blah blah blah...i'm off...cambodia awaits...don't miss me too much. =)

LOL ! US$49 a night. Ok lah, that's cheap compared to what we pay here but my Cambodia trip was waaaaay different from you. I stayed at guesthouses for US$5 a night (with attached bathroom AND hot water, mind you) and no, did not suffer from head lice or anything gross. It was all nice, clean and local.
Have fun anyhow ! And wah lau, bringing a laptop to Cambodia sounds quite wrong. Ha. Oh well.
