kl tips

i'm going up to kl at the end of this month for a friend's wedding...we've been planning for quite some time already, but i think i just need some opinions on how we should go up, and also on where we should stay...

so far, the plan is to drive up in my friend's car (singapore plate), and stay in this place called the prince hotel...apparently the place is quite posh...around rm700+ per night...for the 6 of us...over 2 nights...

ideally, we'd obviously love to save on travel and accommodation lah...but the thing is, we've all got yet another wedding to go to on the very next day after the kl wedding...back in singapore...which means that we have to get back to singapore the next morning...making timing all the more important...tips? lobangs? pilots-off-duty-with-small-airplanes-willing-to-do-charity-work? please feel free to communicate with me.

time waits for no man...sigh.

cheers. =)

try Hotel Istana (5star)! 10mins walk from Jalan Bukit Bintang (where all the shopping centers are) 15mins walk to Jalan P Ramlee (where all the pub are).

I stayed there during my last KL trip in sept05. Very nice place.

driving up in a s'pore registered car not very safe. take coach. Try Luxury Tour @ Le Meridian Hotel. 3D2N 5 star hotel + 2way very comfortable coach only SGD149! very worth it..

driving up is very tiring, esp so when ur schedule sounds so packed. like what some others said, its not that safe either. u could go up by coach and come back by plane in time to attend the next wedding.

i always travel by sri maju coaches over at golden mile complex. tix prices are between 25-28, depending on the day of ur departure. its real comfy for that price u pay. now that they have the "low cost" terminial ready, u could book ur return tix in advance i think. cheaper to book earlier also.

hehe...and staying at a posh hotel for that amount? it could buy u alot of stuff over at kl u know? find a lower budget hotel lor...2 nights only. their lower end hotels ain't that bad, really.

Try Concorde Hotel, very centrally located and just 5 mins away to several pubs, and 5 mins away from the train station, not forgetting a great massage parlour in the hotel offering 1 hour of Thai massage at Rm66 only.
