dear ms. nokia,
it has been 9 years since we have first met...from the time when i was a young-punk freshmen in nus, and you were just a black and white 3210 with snake games...to yesterday when i was an extremely dis-satisfied customer and you were the ever-hanging and sloth-like 3230...and while i don't regret having had you in my life, i must admit that the last couple of years have been rather torturous.
i was holding on only because i felt that you would improve over time...that you would find a way to get past your blemishes...that you'd at least come up with a new design that doesn't resemble something you wore in the past 3 seasons...but alas, my loyalty has it's limits too, and i have finally had a change of heart.
yesterday evening, while walking in suntec city during a singtel road show, i saw a certain ms. sony-ericsson:
sony ericsson k800i
and the best part is, i only paid $118 for her. the rest was absorbed for some reason or other...i'd have gotten her for free in fact, if i had traded you in, but common sense told me that i'd fetch a higher price with the second hand dealers outside.
ms. sony ericsson can be synchronized with my sony vaio laptop, which makes things a lot easier in terms of transferring my images and music (which you could never have done)...ms. k800i has a 3.2megapixel camera too (compared to your pixelated 1.3)! almost as good as my other love, ms. nikon coolpix...and she has mobile blogging capabilities as well! and guess what else? singtel even threw a threesome package in the form of ms. canon selphy!

having said and done all that, i did shed a tear when i finally took out the sim card from your bosom last night...and i did take one final whiff of your battery pack as it was being discharged for the very last time. sigh. it didn't have to be this way...but then again, this is not goodbye, but merely farewell...may our lives cross paths again...
