dusty
i went crabbing on friday with the guys...and decided i liked it so much that i went again today...and then i decided i liked crabs so much that i decided to add to my increasing repertoire of pets.
meet dusty:
this is dusty's home for the next few days...a home which i had to import sea water for direct from the east coast park (which is why it's only half full). and let's not talk about where i got the sand from...lest i get arrested for stealing building materials from our local contractors.
anyway, dusty looks pretty comfortble in his new (albeit murky) environment...
i think dusty's a mud crab...given that i thought there were only like two species of crabs here (flower and mud)...but after reading this website on the different crabs in singapore, i'm getting really confused...anyone know what kinda crab dusty is?
i really hope that dusty isn't poisonous. not that i was gonna eat him or anything lah (you're kinda beyond that stage already when you give a name to the animals you keep)...
i like my new room scent...it's got a kind of "sea breeze" feel to it...though i think i'll probably have to renew the scent (aka sea water) every few days...and i like my new roommate too...though i hope he lasts for more than a few days...wish us luck!
cheers. =)

i say throw dusty away... it looks pretty gross
bro, release dusty lah...
the sea water environment is not about changing the water everyday... there are just too many micro organisms that make the ecosystem within.
SAVE DUSTY!!!!
Release Dusty, and I'll give u a tortoise, want?
lets juz hope that things dun get rusty in your room....
Dusty looks kinda sad and er, dusty in his tank :(
dear all...dusty is doing fine. i blame my lousy phone's (sony ericsson k800i) camera for not being able to take a proper homely picture of dusty in his humble abode...that and the fact that dusty is a crab...they happen to live in murky waters. anyway, thanks for all your concerns (micro organisms or what not)...haha.
I also like crabbing. I usually go to Eng Seng Restaurant along Joo Chiat Place for black pepper. But I also like the white pepper variety at No Signboard and the chilli crab at Jumbo.
If you can't eat it, it's useless. You should release it so that other things can eat it. Then you can eat the other thing that eats it.
i think dusty is cute.. though, i really believe he/it is dangerous, because it is an evolved Siemens A50 PDA hit by electromechanical radiation from the all-spark.. THE DECEPTICONS ARE COMING TO GET YOU!!!
yo moby.. keep dusty ok.. dont listen to them.. you know the feeling when you can see your pet grow, and you grow emotionally with it. the days and hours you spend with it, the part of your life shared you imparted with it.. you enjoy your life more, you savour the fulfillment just by seeing it, plus it's rich in iodine and proteins.. chop some limbs for me ok? i want it just plain salted..you can then change its name, umm, maybe crab stew dusty..
