no pictures tonight cuz i forgot to bring my camera out. had a normal day at work...same old shit slinging around...i can't believe that my finance department actually cocked up my transport allowance payment for this month...they actually deducted $700 from my salary instead of adding it. this shows how much confidence i have in them calculating my commission next month. shit man...if i hadn't noticed it, they would have just kept it to themselves, or even worse, congratulated each other on saving the $700 for the company.

anyway, back to the real world...the one without bosses and HR departments. i went to ice cold beer today with jaime...she was quite free in the afternoon, so we snuck out of the office at around 5 plus and made our way down to orchard. we're getting pretty good at this already...one of us saying that she has a residential customer waiting, and the other one just doesn't give a fuck what his boss says.

actually, my boss called me halfway through my first carlsberg. damn it. i hate being interrupted when i'm having my breaks...who cares if it was only 545pm. i hate answering his calls:

boss: what happened to abc's system?

moby: err, i don't know boss, i didn't install it...

boss: find out lah!

*chorus*

moby: err, ok, tell you what boss, i'll call the engineer to call the customer cuz i really don't know what they did wrong...

boss: i wanna know now!

moby: err...ok boss, i'll call the engineer...

boss: no! i wanna know now!

*repeat chorus x 3*

so anyway, after the whole hooha died off, i was still to blame for something that i didn't do. welcome to the working world folks...at least to sky's world.

highlight of the night:

i was sitting there with jaime and her ex-colleagues, when i happened to see joey (the girl-who-reminded-me-of-my-ex-gf), walk past. it was a pleasant surprise, cuz one hour before that, i called her to ask if she wanted to come down to ice cold to take over from jaime...but she told me that she had an appointment with another friend already, so i didn't expect her to show up. but seeing her appear kinda boosted the happiness bar. she's always smiling. =)

after jaime and her ex-colleagues left, i waited for jason to come before joining joey upstairs. ah guak came after some persuasion too...so it was pretty cool. talked a bit...i found out that joey actually knew her planets (btw, there are 9 planets to the solar system, jason).

i sent all of them back home after that...rebecca (joey's secondary school friend), joey, then ah guak...jason excluded cuz he's a macho man who doesn't need a sending home (at least not when girls are around). while i was in the car with ah guak, she mentioned that i'd better not spoil the friendship between her and smiley girl. how could i??? i'm a good guy...at least i've been trying to be a good guy...for the last few years already. please lah...just because joey reminds me of adeline doesn't mean that i want to, or need to replace her. joey is joey and adeline is adeline...and i would and could never mix up the two. everyone is different. i understand that. great...now i have this in black and white, nobody can argue with me already. i learned this from work. sometimes i wish that life were this simple...black and white. somehow, at times, colours just seem to get in the way.
